Godflesh Side Project Discographies

This is a very complete discography of all side projects pertaining to Godflesh. In all instances of compilations, I have created another file where full info (well, as much as I know) can be found. If there is anything that I haven't listed, please let me know and I'll try to get it on the site!

Also, I've listed each band member, and info about them. In the case of Justin, Kevin Martin and a few others (Mick Harris etc) I couldn't list all other projects. Please read the Related Project Discography for all other releases.

Curse of the Golden Vampire

Status: Active
Bio: In 1998, Kevin Martin and Justin teamed up w/ Alec Empire to record the Curse of the Golden Vampire record under the title Animal Empire. This was considered to be a Techno Animal recording until recently when the duo decided to record another record as Curse of the Golden Vampire. This doesn't feature Alec Empire, and so it should now be considered it's own side project, likely a side project of TA. For the time being, their first record will still be listed under the TA section as well.

Head of David

Status: Active
Bio: Head of David released 2 albums prior to Justin's arrival in 1986. Justin had been playing for Napalm Death as well as Fall of Because. At a split concert of those two bands, HoD asked him to join. He left ND about two weeks after joining the band but still continued to drum for FoB.

Justin played drums for them for about 2 1/2 years before leaving to form Godflesh. At this time Dave Cochrane left as well. He appeared on only one album during that time. A remix album and a Peel Session album came out after his departure, both still featuring him on drums. The band continued on to record 1 more record, and then split up.

2 separate 12"s and one LP were set for release in 1998. Unfortunately, none of these ever came out. There was a Krackhead/Saskwatch split record planned for release, but I don't know if this is still coming out. It now seems that the From Hell LP will be coming on AvalancheInc Recordings later this year.
