Bio:	This project consists of Justin Broadrick and Dirk Serries who have a long history together. Through tape-trading and experimental noise projects of the 1980s, each has a vast discography of releases. Together, however, they partnered up for the Final + Fear Falls Burning record, 2016's Jesu / Dirk Serries Resolution Heart, remixes of Vidna Obmana and other efforts as well as playing live together among other projects. Dirk explains the nature of the collaboration is "not to invent new music but just to bring together the music we grew up with, were/are inspired by and we just like to do ourselves." The pair first met when Fear Falls Burning supported Jesu and the concept of working together was first born. Justin claimed in a 2023 interview, "It took a long time for us to find the space to complete it. We had many concepts but nothing really fell into place for a few years, so it went on gathering dust. I really wanted to give Dirk's guitar pieces something more than just another set of my own guitar drones on top, but we knew we both wanted our guitars as prominent. I made the risky decision of adding beats and bass, then adding my guitars. Luckily Dirk was really happy with the results so the album was finished, mostly during the pandemic, which became a source of inspiration in itself, and much of the album captures the sadness of the pandemic but also celebrates silence and space."
