Godflesh:
This is the band's first release. Initially released on Swordfish Records, in 3 versions, only on vinyl. The band signed to Earache Records shortly after, and both Earache and Silent Scream recordings re-issued this recording 2 years later. Earache's version contained 2 bonus tracks, from some unknown session and Silent Scream issued this without the bands consent and is a bootleg.

Notes:

Recorded June/July 1988 at Soundcheck.
The original release on Swordfish Records was released on clear and black vinyl and has a slightly different cover. It is more of a grey toned picture, whereas the Earache re-releases are just plain black and white. Contains lyrics to Avalanche Master Song, Veins and Weak Flesh. Also contains pictures not included on the Earache Re-releases. Etched into side A is "Low life motherfuckers". Side B has "Music from the death factory "88"" etched into it.
The cassette release on Silent Scream is the same as above, but also has a picture of (a _very_ young) Justin and Benny. The Earache release doesn't contain all the pictures but has a new one, and doesn't have lyrics. This may possibly have been released on vinyl as well.
The cassette on Silent Scream incorrectly lists track one as "Avalanche" and track two as "Master Song".
Tracks 7 and 8 are bonus tracks on the cd from some later, unknown recording session.
"Wounds" is a remixed version of "Wound" which is found on "Streetcleaner".
A video for "Avalanche Master Song" was made.
This cd was re-released as Mosh 20CD on July 1st, 1995, with a white cd casing instead of traditional black case.

This split 7" has Loop, listed as Loopflesh, performing the Godflesh song "Like Rats", while Godflesh, listed as Fleshloop, performs the Loop song "Straight To Your Heart"
This 7" was released in May 1991 as part of the Clawfist Singles Club, in a limited edition of 1400.
Etched on side A of this 7" is:"Rats Live On No Evil Star." and side B says the same...only backwards.
Must be played at 33 rpm.

Notes:

"Wound '91" is another remix of the song "Wound" which is found on "Streetcleaner".
The 12-inch has "Pure" etched in the run out groove on side 1.
SP114 was released as part of the Sub Pop singles club on red, grey and black vinyl and is played at 33 rpm.
All versions of this single were discontinued, but was re-released as part of a 2 on 1 cd packaging along with "Cold World", see below.

Notes:

Track 1 recorded Dec. 1993. Tracks 2 and 3 biomechanical mixes recorded 1991-1993. Track 4 "Don't Bring Me Flowers" demixed Dec. 1993.
"Merciless" is actually an old Fall of Because song, remixed, and it seems that "Last of the Biomechanical Urgents" by Murder Inc. is played backwards on "Unworthy".
Robert Hampson appears on tracks 3 and 4.
The UK cd comes in a slim jewel case while the US release is in the normal full size jewel case.
A double gatefold, white vinyl pressing of "Merciless" was released on 7".
This ep was released June, 1994 and was re-released as part of a double cd package with "Selfless" September 10th 1996.
