Bio:

God was formed as early as 1987 by Kevin Martin (vocals, sax) along with Shaun Rogan (guitars). Justin produced their first release in 1990 but didn't appear as a musician until their second album a year later, replacing Rogan. This formed the first of many Broadrick/Martin collaborations. The band was active for the first half of the '90s only and with each release gained members. By the last album, the list of members read as an all-star team, with the JBK/K-Mart duo alongside Tim Hodkinson, Russel Smith, Tom Prentice, John Edwards, Dave Cochrane, Gary Jeff, Scott Kiehl and Lou Ciccotelli. Alex Buess was also there, cited as a guest on bass clarinet. John Zorn also appeared on a few tracks from Possession. The band and its members were similar to that found in Ice. God dissolved and Ice may have picked up where it left off, the sheer number of members impossible to sustain as a real on-going project. After 1995, no new God material was created.
