The rhythm is listed with numbers instead of notes ex. 16=sixteenth note dot8=dotted eighth note etc... The music is in 4/4 meter with a tempo of about 100-110 bpm The lines represent guitar strings adjacent to the tuning of the guitar listed above. Riff:A 16, 8, 16, dot8, 16, 8, 8, 8, 8. ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------2---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- --3-----0----0----6^----0----3----0----//2----------------------- Play this riff 8x before first verse. Then we go back to the first riff (A) and play it 4X then for the second verse, riff A is played with a slight modification.... Riff:E 16, 8, 16, dot8, 16, 8, 8, 8, 8 ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------2---- ---3-----0------0------6^-------0-----3------0----2---------- Play this 4X for the first four verse lines, then play riff B with a slight modification the sixth and seventh note play like this... 16, 8, 16, dot8, 16, 8, 8, 8, 8, ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- -------------------2----2-----------------0---0----- -------------------1----1-----------------4---4----- ---3-----0---0----------------3-----0--------------- Play this for the last four verse2 lines The chorus now comes up with riff C played four times and then riff D played four times. Then an interlude/bridge comes up Riff:F The notes in parentheses are natural harmonics. Just lightly place your finger over the designated note and pick the string and you should hear a note that sound an octave above the string you pick... Whole note (1), 1(Whole note), ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- -----(5)--------------------------------------------- -----(5)--------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- --------------------------0-------------------------- This is played 2X until the bridge... The tablature for Riff F is actually two(2) measures Riff:G Half-time dot8, 16, 8, 16, 16 + 4 (this note is vibrato until the last eighth note where it reaches a pitch on the ninth fret...) --------------------------9-----9--------------------------- ---------------------------------------8----8~~~~9---------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----0---------0--------------------------------------------- This is played 4X each time the last note is played differently. Listen to the cd for a better example.. The next measure is a noise section with the guitar playing a harmonics "chord" with a harmonizer effecting the signal (I think...) I couldn't figure it out. Next, Riff A is played 4X and Riff E is played after that 4X. Then Riff B with the modification is played 4X. The chorus is next with Riff C played 4X then Riff D 4X The chorus section is played again with the same riffs in the line before this. Then the outro is played in Half-time with Riff G played 4X. The last time is the end of the song.
